ABOUT ME
Hey. I’m Danny Klaven.
For the past 10 years, I’ve been living and breathing recording, mixing, and all the beautiful chaos in between. And let’s be honest – mixing is where the real magic (and occasional hair-pulling) happens. So yeah, that’s my main thing. Making your tracks punch, breathe, and translate to any speaker without falling apart.
You might also know me as the guy behind the YouTube channel 1.61 dB of Noise – where I talk sound, gear, and why your snare probably needs more room mic.
But here’s what I actually promise you:
Responsibility. I treat your music like it’s mine – because I know you didn’t spend sleepless nights on it just so someone would rush through the mix.
Quality. No “fix it in the mix” nonsense. I dig deep, I listen twice (or twenty times), and I don’t let a track leave my monitors until it actually sounds right.
Deadlines. Yes, really. I’ll meet them. No ghosting, no “almost done” for three weeks. You have a release schedule, I have respect for it.
So if you want a mix engineer who gives a care, explains nothing in ancient Greek to confuse you, and might crack a dumb joke during a revision call – hey, that’s me.
Let’s make your song sound like you heard it in your head.
Just louder. And a little prettier.
– Danny
